Chiusa in Isarco Valley
The artist’s town of Chiusa constitutes the focal point of the lower Isarco Valley and has been in the club of “most beautiful locations in Italy” since 2002. Overlooked by the impressive Sabiona Abbey, the town is known as one of the oldest centres of pilgrimage in Tyrol. If you decide to visit the abbey, you cannot miss the opportunity to hike to the abbey and view the “Loretoschatz” in the town museum. Also a walk through the chestnut groves and vineyards can be highly recommended! On top of all this the gastronomy of Chiusa has a lot of surprises in store for you.
